Now click on the recipe and you might be surprised. What came to mind for us is grilling the lettuce. Our first try at grilled lettuce was at a restaurant and memorable. Then we tried it at home and the result was not as good as we remembered. But it’s fun to practice – so perfect your lettuce grilling before you try adding other ingredients. Giada De Laurentiis also offers another recipe for grilled endive.
Of course, Smith does not grill the lettuce, and one could try a bit less mayonnaise, too.
