Tuna and scallops?

Searching for recipes and found this one from The Local Cook in Michigan. Okay, we all aim for local, but every now and then, we crave taste sensations from afar – the pomegranate, avocado or pineapple!

So we understand The Local Cook going for scallops and tuna.  And she presents an outstanding recipe – Pan-Seared Tuna & Scallops with Avocado, Soy, Ginger and Lime. Yum.

Check out The Local Cook blog: “I share my experiences as I cook through all the recipes in Simply in Season. Through this process I hope to discover simple ways of preparing local, healthy foods and learn more about nutrition, sustainability, and how our eating choices impact the world.”

The inspirational blog is a hobby in addition to working for an international relief organization – and she writes: “I hope you’ll join me in this learning adventure. The good news is that if I can do this, anyone can!”

  1. Thanks for the shout out! And yes, while I do normally try to cook with local ingredients, fish is one of those items that are hard to get locally here in Michigan 🙂 I love Seattle, wish we had your seafood here!
