Native tuna

As summer approaches, the cooks get lazy.  We’re on the prowl for new flavors and ease of preparation.

And so here’s a salad for you from Livestrong.com – Native American Tuna Salad with Dried Cranberries and Apples. The recipe calls for a can of albacore tuna, mayonnaise, relish, onions, celery, hard-boiled egg, cranberries and apple bits.

We made some adjustments and cut the relish and egg, reduced the onions and cranberries – and tried fresh apples instead with only the slightest touch of mayonnaise! Cool, easy and delicious!

Livestrong.com allows you to search by the healthy ingredients that you have on hand.
